Our Commitment Under CASL

Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) requires us to have your express consent before sending you commercial electronic messages — including marketing emails and SMS text messages. We honour that requirement and will never add you to a marketing list without your clear, recorded agreement.

What We Send

If you have opted in, we may send you:

  • Farm news, seasonal updates, and stories from the farm.
  • Promotions, special offers, and new product announcements.
  • Reminders about upcoming market appearances or delivery windows.

Transactional messages — such as order confirmations, shipping notifications, and customer service replies — are sent to anyone who places an order and do not require separate marketing consent.

How We Obtain Consent

We collect express consent at the time of signup, at checkout (via a clearly labelled opt-in checkbox), or through other consent points where we plainly describe what you are signing up for. Pre-ticked checkboxes are never used. Your consent is recorded with a timestamp and the context in which it was given.

Every marketing message we send will clearly identify the sender as:

How to Unsubscribe

Every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link. Every marketing SMS contains an opt-out instruction (e.g. reply STOP). You can also unsubscribe at any time by:

  • Emailing us at store@goodfamilyfarms.ca with “Unsubscribe” in the subject line.
  • Phoning us at 519-270-1444.

We will process your unsubscribe request promptly — within 10 business days as required by CASL. Unsubscribing from marketing messages will not affect your ability to receive order-related transactional messages.

Consent Records

We keep records of consents as required by CASL, including the date, method, and context of each consent obtained. These records are retained for as long as we send marketing messages to you and for a reasonable period thereafter.
