Shipping policy

We raise our animals the right way and we want your order to arrive cold, fresh, and on time. Here is how we get food from our farm to your door.

Pickup Options

Farm Store in Meaford

Pick up your order directly at the farm at 157366 7th Line, Meaford, Ontario, N4L 1W6. Pickup is by arrangement. Please contact us at store@goodfamilyfarms.ca or 519-270-1444 to arrange a time.  Our Farm Store hours of operation are Wednesday to Friday from 10am–6pm, and Saturday 10am–4pm.

Local Delivery — Grey-Bruce Region

  • Delivery day: Wednesdays.
  • Cost: $50 CAD flat rate for orders up to $250; for overs between $250 and $500 the delivery fee is reduced to $25, and delivery is FREE on orders over $500 CAD.
  • Coverage: Meaford, Owen Sound, Thornbury, Collingwood, and surrounding communities in the Grey-Bruce area. See our How it Works page for all zones.
  • If you are unsure whether your address is within the delivery zone, please contact us before ordering.

Extended Delivery — Greater Toronto Area & Kitchener-Waterloo

  • Carrier: ERB Transport, our cold-chain delivery partner.
  • Cost: $50 CAD flat rate for orders up to $250; for overs between $250 and $500 the delivery fee is reduced to $25, and delivery is FREE on orders over $500 CAD.
  • Delivery day: Varies by area and will be shown at checkout based on your postal code.
  • Coverage: Limited to listed postal-code zones within the Greater Toronto Area and Kitchener-Waterloo region. Coverage is not available to all addresses in these cities.
  • Product availability: Extended-zone orders are limited. Not all products available at the farm are available for extended delivery.

Cold-Chain Handling

All orders travel frozen and packed with appropriate cold-chain materials to maintain safe temperatures during transit. Please refrigerate or freeze items promptly upon receipt. If you receive an order that appears to have thawed or is damaged in transit, please contact us immediately with photos, and refer to our Returns & Refunds Policy.

If You Are Not Home at Delivery

Our delivery partner will notify you of your delivery time in advance. Contact them as soon as possible if no one will be home at the time of delivery to accept the order. You can speak directly with delivery personnel to make alternate arrangements.

Out-of-Zone Orders

If your address is outside our served delivery zones, you are welcome to use a pickup option or contact us directly at store@goodfamilyfarms.ca or 519-270-1444 to discuss alternatives.

Delivery Day Communication

All orders must be placed by Monday at 10am to be included in that week's delivery run. We will contact you if there is any change to your scheduled delivery.
